Important Note to Authors

  • Each accepted main conference paper must be covered by at least one in-person registration, either Main Conference or Passport Registration, at the ACM member or non-member rate.
  • The presenting author is required to travel to Milan and attend in person to present the paper, either orally or as a poster.
  • Participants can choose either in-person or virtual attendance, subject to the author registration requirement above.
  • Main conference paper authors should register by October 15, 2026, 23:59 AoE (Anywhere on Earth), so the presentation schedule can be arranged.

Registration Entitlements

In-Person Registrations

  • Access to conference sessions and the exhibition hall on the days covered by your registration.
  • Daily coffee breaks and lunch. Breakfast and dinners are not included.
  • Passport registration includes all four conference days, November 14-17, 2026.
  • Main Conference registration covers November 16-17, 2026.
  • Passport and Main Conference registrations include admission to the Welcome Reception on November 15 and the Conference Banquet on November 16.
  • Workshop and One-Day registrations do not include these social events, but tickets may be purchased separately.

Virtual Registration

Virtual registration covers all four days, November 14-17, 2026, with access to live-streamed sessions through the online platform.

Registration Fees

Payment is required upon registration. All fees are listed in EUR and do not include 22% VAT. ACM member rates require a valid ACM membership number. Student rates require proof of student status at the time of registration.

Each accepted paper must be associated with one in-person Passport or Main Conference registration at either ACM member or non-member rate. One in-person Passport or Main Conference registration can cover only one accepted paper.

VAT Information

The registration fees above do not include 22% VAT. VAT treatment depends on the invoice holder and payment details provided during registration.

When VAT Applies

  • VAT is due when the invoice is issued to an individual acting as a private person, whether Italian, EU, or non-EU.
  • VAT is due when the invoice is issued to an Italian university, through electronic invoicing.
  • If the invoice is issued to a university outside Italy, VAT is not required. For EU universities, a VAT registration number will be required.

VAT Exemption

Participants from EU countries excluding Italy, and from non-EU countries, should select the VAT exemption option during registration when one of the following applies:

  • The registration fee is paid with the university's credit card, not a personal card.
  • An advance invoice is required for the university and will be paid by the university via bank transfer.

Universities and companies in EU countries excluding Italy, and in non-EU countries, are subject to reverse charge rules. In those cases, the registration fee must be invoiced without VAT when the conditions above apply.

Cancellation Policy

In line with ACM's standard policy, registration fees are generally non-refundable.

The only exception applies to participants whose visa applications are denied. In such cases, a refund will be issued minus a processing fee.
